Tech Bench – Deploying Teams vs Zoom
In the first episode of our series on soft client web conference solutions, we provide a high-level overview of the differences between Microsoft Teams and Zoom room deployments.
For IT staff already using Microsoft 365 apps and services, such as OneDrive, SharePoint, and Exchange, deploying Teams as a web conference solution is a logical choice. A free Team license for up to 25 rooms is included, providing a centralized management console for administrators.
Zoom Rooms are a standalone solution that integrates with other third-party tools and services. Compared to MS Teams, there is no denying Zoom’s overall popularity and ease of use. In addition, Zoom offers more flexibility in supporting other platforms, such as Linux and Chrome OS.
